What time does WoW Forever launch?

Short answer: WoW Forever launches on Wednesday 4 November 2026 at 3pm PST, which is 23:00 UTC. That's 11pm on 4 November in the UK, midnight in central Europe and 6am on Thursday 5 November in Thailand. I'm getting on as soon as I'm able to play.

What time does WoW Forever launch in my time zone?

WoW Forever launches at the same moment everywhere: Blizzard says it launches globally on 4 November 2026 at 3:00pm PST (Blizzard). The US clocks go back on 1 November, so by launch day PST is UTC minus 8, and 3pm PST is 23:00 UTC.

WhereLaunch time
US Pacific (PST)3pm, Wednesday 4 November
US Eastern (EST)6pm, Wednesday 4 November
UK (GMT)11pm, Wednesday 4 November
Central Europe (CET)Midnight, going into Thursday 5 November
Thailand6am, Thursday 5 November
Sydney (AEDT)10am, Thursday 5 November

The UK and central Europe have already put their clocks back, on 25 October, so these are winter times on both sides of the Atlantic. If your zone isn't here, it's 23:00 UTC on 4 November.

When will I log in to WoW Forever?

I'll log in to WoW Forever as soon as I'm able to play. I'll be home in Thailand by then, on my main PC, ready for 6am. It'll be either my Undead Paladin or, more likely, my Orc Shaman (my Orc Enhancement Shaman launch plan). I'm not leaving it a day.

What will WoW Forever's launch day be like?

WoW Forever's launch day is going to be boring, going by the beta. You're going to be queuing to kill named mobs and struggling to farm wolves, all that sort of stuff. The first levels are going to be such a grind, not because they're difficult or grindy, but just because of the amount of people that are going to be there.

How do you get through the WoW Forever launch crowds?

To get through the launch crowds, group up. If you see someone waiting in the same area as you for a single mob, party up with them just to kill it, so you both get it. Don't be that guy who's there not grouping with people and trying to take it for themselves. That's kind of annoying.

In the beta, the game would sometimes move me somewhere else: I went from 25 people waiting for one mob into a world where there were zero people waiting for it. I don't know what the system's called (in WoW Classic, Blizzard calls it layering), but I hope it works better now it's not the beta, because otherwise people are going to get very frustrated.

Which race should you avoid on WoW Forever launch day?

I would 100% not start as the blue elves on launch day. The blue elves (Skyborne) are the new race in WoW Forever, with their own starting zone, Zephras Isle (Blizzard), and the blue elves are going to be hella rammed.

What happens before WoW Forever launches?

Before WoW Forever launches, there's name reservation: it opens on 27 October and runs to 3 November, and Forever has no realms, so names are unique across your whole region (how WoW Forever name reservation works). After that, the next thing is 3pm PST on 4 November.
