How do you level fast in WARDOGS Season 02?
Short answer: look at the class icon on everything you buy, because that's what decides which class it levels, then pick one class and repeat its best-paying action. Medic levelled fastest for me in Season 01, just running around the gold zone with the defibrillator. Season 02 wipes everyone's XP on 15 October, so this is the time to get it right from the start. BULKHEAD's Season 02 patch notes also change a lot of what levels what, so the section below covers that first.
What changed for levelling in Season 02?
Levelling is faster, and some actions now feed different classes. Per the patch notes:
- Less XP per level: reaching level 20 in a class now takes 111,500 XP instead of 250,000, which BULKHEAD says is less than half the playtime. Level 10 drops from 35,000 to 25,000, level 30 from 500,000 to 318,200, and level 50 from 1,500,000 to 1,150,000.
- Repair XP goes to Driver or Pilot, depending on the vehicle you repair, instead of a flat Support amount.
- Artillery gives Driver XP, and destroying buildables or using IEDs and C4 gives Assault XP. All three used to be Support.
- Logistics pays less per drop but rewards streaks: +100 XP per pallet in a row and +50 XP per crate in a row, up to 10, plus +25 XP per return trip in a row.
- Spotting pays about 30% less than in Season 01, scaled to the value of what you spot.
- The defibrillator moves to Medic 22 and $110,000, up from Medic 11 and $50,000. The Medical Bag comes earlier, at Medic 14.
How does class XP work in WARDOGS?
WARDOGS has six class tracks, Assault, Medic, Support, Recon, Driver and Pilot, and whatever you do feeds one of them, per the WARDOGS Handbook's speed levelling guide. Your overall Wardog level is built from all six.
Kills go to the class of the weapon you used, per the WARDOGS wiki's levelling guide, and kills you get while fighting from inside a vehicle go to that vehicle's class, per the Handbook.
How do you tell which class an item levels?
Look at the class icon in the bottom of the item. That's how you end up mixing and matching without meaning to. When I was running around with the hammer to level builder, I was carrying a pistol because it was fully automatic. But that pistol was Assault, so it was levelling Assault while I was trying to level builder.
Every pistol is Assault, which surprised me. A pistol seems like it would fit a medic or a builder better, someone without a primary weapon. There are others that don't do what I'd expect either. The drill gives you Support rather than Driver, even though it only works on vehicles, so it feels like it should have been Driver. In Season 02 BULKHEAD changed exactly that: repair XP now goes to Driver or Pilot, depending on the vehicle.
So check what you're carrying. Look for mixes that level together and also make sense to use together.
How much XP does each action give?
Logistics figures below are BULKHEAD's own Season 02 values from the patch notes. Kills and revives are community-tested Season 01 figures, because the patch notes don't list them.
| Action | XP | Class |
|---|---|---|
| Supply pallet dropped in the zone (air) | 400, +100 per pallet in a row, up to 10 | Pilot |
| Supply pallet dropped in the zone (ground vehicle) | 500 | Driver |
| Large supply crate (air / ground) | 300 / 400 | Pilot / Driver |
| Small supply crate (air / ground) | 150 / 200 | Pilot / Driver |
| Headshot kill (Season 01) | 275 | Class of the weapon |
| Kill (Season 01) | 250 | Class of the weapon |
| Defibrillator revive (Season 01) | 250 | Medic |
| Revive (Season 01) | 200 | Medic |
| Bandage a teammate (Season 01) | 80 | Medic |
| Deliver a passenger | 25, +5 per player in a row, up to 25 | Driver, or Pilot by air |
| Return trip (ground vehicle) | 50, +25 per trip in a row, up to 10 | Driver |
Pallets, crates, passengers and return trips are from the Season 02 patch notes; BULKHEAD says these are the values you get when dropping in the control zone. Kills, revives and bandages are Season 01 figures from the WARDOGS wiki. In Season 01 the Handbook and Rankd's pilot guide had a pallet at 750 XP, so Season 02 pays less per drop and more for keeping a run going.
What's the fastest class to level?
For me it was Medic. My fastest XP in Season 01 was hanging around the gold zone with the defibrillator, just running around giving people kisses. It's the class I levelled quickest.
A defibrillator revive was worth 250 XP in Season 01, the same as a kill, per the wiki. In Season 02 the defibrillator unlocks at Medic 22 instead of 11, so you'll need to level Medic another way first: bandages and ordinary revives. The Handbook also points out a bandage only needs an injured teammate, not a downed one, which makes it the most repeatable XP in the game.
How do you farm two classes at once?
Let one class do about 90% of the work. When I've got the hammer, I'm building 90% of the time, and when I think I've got enough built, I go and look for things to spot with recon.
That's also where the class icons matter. Pick a second item that levels the class you want as your second, not one that quietly levels something else.
My rig right now levels three at once. I'm in full Tier 3 armour with the GGX18 and the repair drill. My new thing is taking supplies into the hotter areas in the armoured Ural Defender, which is Driver. When the truck gets damaged, I repair it with the drill for the Support repair XP. In Season 02 that repair XP goes to Driver instead, so the rig levels Driver twice over. And I keep the pistol to jump out and one-clip anyone I'm near, which is Assault. After the wipe this exact rig is a long way off, though: the patch notes move the GGX18 from Wardog 70 to Wardog 85, and its unlock from $50,000 to $125,000.

How do you level Pilot fast?
Pallet dropping, outside of carrying passengers. It's always been the easiest thing for flying. In Season 02 a pallet from the air is 400 XP, plus 100 for every pallet in a row up to 10, so long runs are what pay.
Passengers are quicker if you can get them. Plenty of the time I see people buy the big transport helicopters and not fill them, so if you're the one that gets filled with passengers, that's a super quick way to level Pilot. If you're not, you're unlucky, and you'll feel stupid. Then it's dumping pallets, and fighting.
Aerial combat is super easy once you know how to fly the helicopters, and massively overpowered. Until you know how to fly them, they're basically useless.
How do you level Driver fast?
I used to go to the gold zone and run people over. It works, but it would have been a lot quicker with someone manning the gun on my vehicle, which I never seem to manage.
I believe that when the passenger manning your gun gets a kill, you get the XP as the driver, but I haven't confirmed it. The Handbook only says kills you get yourself from inside a vehicle count for Driver. I'll check it in Season 02 and update this. One Driver change is confirmed: artillery now gives Driver XP instead of Support.
Written 12 October 2026, before Season 02 launched, from my Season 01 play; updated 15 October with BULKHEAD's Season 02 patch notes (14 October), which publish the logistics XP and the new level thresholds. Kill and revive XP are community-tested Season 01 figures. I'll update this once I've played Season 02.
